I love musubi! Interesting history of spam--I never knew:)

I go nuts over musubi. A great combo.

Thank you for the great information. I have some low salt spam in my pantry for a rainy day, but I think I'll have to open a can and make some musubi. My husband ate some spam for the first time while we were on the Big Island in May, and he loved it.

So what does the word Spam mean or from where does it come?

Good question. Many theories, but a favored one is Hormel launched a naming contest, and Kenneth Daigneau, brother of a Hormel VP, just blurted out “Spam” at a New Year’s Eve party.

As good as any explanation!

Love this Greg. Funny, fun and so informative. But you still haven’t convinced me to try it.

We ate a lot of spam in the 1950s—usually with breakfast but also for dinner. Spam and eggs, spam and toast, spam with potatoes and greens. I must say, I think I’ve had my fill.

Try musubi, which is easy to make. You may change your mind.
